Michigan’s Food Law requires that all licensed food establishments have a person in charge that is knowledgeable of the food operation and related food safety regulations. Additionally most food establishments are required to have a person that has successfully completed a state approved food safety sanitation course.
District Health Department #2 occasionally makes arrangements with private organizations to offer food safety sanitation courses in the health district for food service establishment operators. (See below) Additionally the Michigan Restaurant Association regularly offers food safety sanitation certification courses (see link on the right).
