DHD#2 works with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in reducing vaccine-preventable diseases by providing free or affordable immunizations to all people from birth through adulthood. Appointments are highly recommended since clinics days and sites vary from month-to-month, although clients may receive immunizations on a walk-in basis depending on the availability of our staff.
For an appointment, please call:
Main Reception: 1-800-504-2650 x1826 or x1847.
The Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) is used by DHD2 to keep track of administered immunizations. This helps to reduce vaccine-preventable diseases, over-vaccination and allows providers to see a patient's immunization history. Although it isn't recommended, a form is available to those who'd like to opt-out of MCIR.
Flu Vaccinations
The 2011-2012 flu vaccine protects against influenza A, influenza B, and H1N1 influenza. It is recommended for everyone over 6 months of age, and is the best protection against the flu. Vaccinations are offered at little to no cost for some individuals. For more information, or to schedule and appointment, please call 1-800-504-2650.
