Communicable Disease

District Health Department #2 works to reduce the incidence of communicable diseases and infection through data collection, education, treatment, referral for care, reporting of illness and enforcement of laws.

Routine communicable disease activities and services are provided during regular health department hours. Staff is available during off hours for emergency situations. Please call our emergency pager at (800) 399-4504.

Reports of diseases that have been reported for each county may be found by clicking the appropriate link on the right. The health status of rural michigan counties has been studied and the results are also available for public viewing. More information may be found on the CDC website or by contacting any of DHD#2's offices.
