Immunizations

DHD#2 works with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in reducing vaccine-preventable diseases by providing free or affordable immunizations to all people from birth through adulthood. Appointments are highly recommended since clinics days and sites vary from month-to-month, although clients may receive immunizations on a walk-in basis depending on the availability of our staff.

For an appointment, please call:

West Branch: (989) 343-1826

Tawas (989) 362-6183 ext. 1501

Harrisville (989) 724-6757 ext. 1600

Mio (989) 826-3970 ext. 1700

The Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) is used by DHD2 to keep track of administered immunizations. This helps to reduce vaccine-preventable diseases, over-vaccination and allows providers to see a patient's immunization history. Although it isn't recommended, a form is available to those who'd like to opt-out of MCIR.

New Requirements for Students

The immunization requirements for children entering kindergarden, 6th grade or for children switching school districts have changed. Parents, school staff and providers may want to access the informative FLYER which describes the new communicable disease rules for the 2010-2011 school year.
