Food Training Classes and Operator Certification

Michigan’s Food Law requires that all licensed food establishments have a person in charge that is knowledgeable of the food operation and related food safety regulations. Additionally most food establishments are required to have a person that has successfully completed a state approved food safety sanitation course.

District Health Department #2 occasionally makes arrangements with private organizations to offer food safety sanitation courses in the health district for food service establishment operators.

2. April 21st in West Branch at the West Branch Masonic Center

3. April 22nd in Cheboygan at the Cheboygan Memorial Hospital

4. June 2nd in East Tawas at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort
